Summer in the Alps? That means freedom, adventure, and a big dose of "WOW!" Up here in the mountains, everything feels a little wilder, a little more authentic – and that’s exactly what we love. Standing barefoot in the meadow in the morning, taking a deep breath, and feeling the sun slowly rise over the peaks. Setting off during the day to explore nature, push limits, and feel truly alive.
Whether on two feet, two wheels, or with a yoga mat under your arm – there are no "musts" here, only "let’s do it!"
Hiking
Step by step into adventure
Lace up your shoes, throw on your backpack, and just head out. Right outside the door, your next mountain adventure awaits – from leisurely walks across lush green alpine meadows to summit hikes with breathtaking panoramic views. Every trail is more than just a route; it’s an experience.
And for those who just want to switch off for a moment: Sit on a bench, take in the mountains, and simply enjoy the moment.
Our Hiking Must-Do
Yodel Hike
A hiking adventure for the whole family – with plenty of fun at every stop! Even those who aren’t the biggest hiking fans will love the Yodel Trail in Königsleiten, where several listening stations along the way invite both young and old to try yodeling. At the push of a button, different yodel songs start playing.
And the best part? The entire trail is stroller-friendly, so even the little ones can join in. The route starts at the mountain station of the Dorfbahn Königsleiten.
Biking
Two wheels, endless possibilities
Who says the Alps can only be conquered on foot? Grab a bike and hit the trails – whether it’s a relaxed ride on an e-bike or an adrenaline-fueled descent on a downhill track. Or take it easy with a scenic tour across alpine meadows, stop at a mountain hut for a break, and soak up the moment as you relax in the sun with the distant sound of cowbells ringing.
Your adventure, your choice.
And the best part? No bike? No problem! Rent one, ride off, and enjoy! Looking for more speed and action? Go for it – we also offer motorcycle rentals. And for those who prefer a sporty yet sustainable option: We’ve got electric cars for rent, too!
Back to Nature
A little strange but incredibly fun – try forest bathing! We couldn’t believe it at first either, but it’s truly an experience.
And if you're lucky, you might run into Hannes, our forest bathing pro. He knows all the best spots for you!
Yoga
Your flow, your moment
Imagine standing on a rooftop terrace, the sun casting a golden glow over the peaks, the air crisp and fresh – and you take a deep, cleansing breath. That’s yoga here with us: just you, the sky above, and the mountains all around.
And if the summer weather doesn’t cooperate? No worries! Our light-filled yoga room guarantees relaxed vibes, rain or shine. And the best part? You don’t need to bring anything but yourself – mats, fresh mountain air, and breathtaking views are all included.
Pure action
GipfelLiner Königsleiten
Not afraid of heights and in the mood for a thrill? The Königsleiten GipfelLiner is the perfect destination for adventurous visitors: at 2300 meters above sea level, the zipline leads over the Königsleiten reservoir and overcomes 65 meters in altitude. The courage to take that first step off the 3-meter-high launch platform is rewarded with a magnificent panorama from a bird's eye view.
Golf Club
Hohe Tauern
Surrounded by the breathtaking mountain landscape of Hohe Tauern National Park, an 18-hole championship golf course with a driving range awaits both beginners and seasoned players.
The par-70 course is flat and easy to play – but far from boring! With charming old hay barns and numerous water hazards, the Hohe Tauern Golf Club offers an exciting challenge for every golfer.
Gerlos
Durlaßboden nature paradise
Less than a ten-minute drive from the MY ALPENWELT Resort is the Durlaßboden reservoir – the outdoor paradise between Gerlos and Königsleiten. In summer, the water of the reservoir warms up to 21° degrees, making the lake the place to be for water sports fans. From swimming and pedal boats to SUP, everything is possible here. Another highlight: from the shore you can tee off directly into the water. What you get annoyed about on real golf courses becomes a lot of fun here. The balls are, of course, sustainable – in this case, made from fish food. If you want to take it easy, you can hike around the lake and relax on one of the numerous sunbathing lawns.
Durlassboden reservoir
Stand-up paddling
For beginners and experienced SUP riders alike, the Durlassboden reservoir is a dream destination. The calm water surface of the lake allows you to enjoy a relaxing ride while taking in the spectacular views. Balancing on the SUP board is the key to fun, and with a little practice, even beginners can enjoy the beauty of the lake to the fullest.
Don't have your own board? No problem! We have a simple solution: at the reception of MY ALPENWELT Resort, guests can rent SUP boards and plunge straight into the adventure. With this convenient option, your trip to the Durlassboden reservoir will be an unforgettable experience.
So, pack your swimsuit and sunscreen and go on a SUP adventure in the impressive Alpine landscape of Gerlos.
